Cosmelan

A world-leading professional peel with a patented formula to efficiently remove signs of sun damage and pigmentation

Cosmelan

What is it?

Cosmelan is the world-leading and one of the most effective depigmentation treatments available. It works to inhibit a specific enzyme called tyrosinase that is directly involved in the production of melanin. Targeting the cause of pigmentation, it effectively reduces the impacts whether your pigmentation is a result of UV exposure, hormones or post-inflammation as a result of acne scarring.

Cosmelan’s unique formula, which contains retinoid acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid, arbutus and ascorbic acid, gets to work deep in the skin to deliver optimum results on all types of pigmentation.

How Does it Work?

The process of undergoing a Cosmelan professional peel involves several steps to ensure optimal results. Two weeks prior to the treatment, a pre-treatment pigment stabilising kit is used. This kit helps to prepare the skin for the peel and stabilises any existing pigmentation. Additionally, a pre-treatment peel is performed in-clinic 24 hours before the Cosmelan professional peel.

During the actual treatment, the Cosmelan peel is applied to the skin in-clinic and left on for up to 12 hours. This peel is designed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, as well as improve the texture and overall appearance of the skin.

Following treatment, a strict homecare procedure must be followed for 6–9 months. This includes the use of specific products to ensure the best possible outcome and maintain the results achieved from the treatment. By following these steps, clients can achieve significant improvements in their skin's appearance and feel more confident in their overall complexion.
